On January 28, 2026, an important strategic agreement was finalized between the National Police, through its Anti-Narcotics Directorate, and the port company Puerto Bahía Colombia – Puerto Antioquia, to reinforce security and exercise strict anti-narcotics controls at the maritime terminal located in Turbo, Antioquia.

This agreement constitutes a key step to ensure the integrity of the export logistics chain, prevent contamination of lawful cargo, and strengthen the confidence of Colombian exporters in international markets.

The document signed by Brigadier General Ricardo Sánchez Silvestre, Anti-Narcotics Director, and Alejandro Costa Posada, President of Puerto Antioquia, stipulates that both parties will join efforts in anti-narcotics control work within port facilities. The main security components include:
